Founder – Kuon Sugawara
Kuon Sugawara is the founder of Solarity AI, a next-generation analytics platform transforming how solar farms detect and report panel defects. With hands-on experience in solar panel maintenance and drone-based infrared inspections, he observed a major industry bottleneck: the slow, manual, and error-prone process of hotspot detection and report writing.
His academic background in mathematics and economics at the University of Toronto provides a strong analytical foundation for building reliable, scalable AI systems. Combined with practical field experience, Kuon brings a unique ability to bridge deep technical reasoning with real-world operational understanding.
Solarity AI was created from a clear vision: to make AI-powered analysis the standard procedure for solar inspections worldwide. By automating hotspot detection and report generation, Solarity aims to help operators improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and accelerate the transition to a more resilient and sustainable energy future.
